-Determination of the conformity of the management system, or parts of the management system, with the audit criteria
-Determination of the management system´s ability to ensure that the organisation complies with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements
-Determination of the effectiveness of the management system in meeting specified objectives
-Identification of areas for potential improvement of the management system
